Sheila Busheri, MT, CLS, CCL
Chief Executive Officer

Sheila Busheri is the founder and CEO of Universal Diagnostic Laboratories (UDL). With over 30 years of laboratory management experience, she has successfully grown UDL, as an entirely independent laboratory, at a rate of 20% per year since its inception in 1998.

Prior to UDL, she held the position as Operations Manager for Smith Kline Beecham Laboratories, Van Nuys, CA from 1990-1997 where she was responsible for the overall operation of the laboratory and specimen workflow. She successfully improved logistical workflow elements and formed an inter-department collaboration team resulting in 30% improved productivity for the laboratory. From 1988-1991, she was the Supervisor, Toxicology Department for Unilab, Tarzana, CA, where she improved methodologies for improved turnaround time and quality control. She also was instrumental in getting NIDA certification for the laboratory’s NIDA department. She served as Manager, Clinical Laboratory at Namazee Hospital, Shiraz, Iran from 1984-1986 where she successfully improved the laboratory’s overall productivity.

Sheila holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science, Medical Technology from Pahlavi University. She is a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist and Clinical Chemist Scientist.

Chief Pathologist

William W. Temple, M.D. is a board certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist who has spent over thirty years serving in laboratory director, medical director, and chief pathologist roles with laboratories and hospitals throughout the Los Angeles, California area. He has been responsible for successfully initiating and maintaining CLIA and CAP certifications along with J.C.A.H. certification, initiating extensive and ongoing molecular pathology adoption into laboratory workflow, overseeing and monitoring daily laboratory activities, and providing support to physician clientele.

Dr. Temple is active in the California Society of Pathologists and the College of American Pathology where he serves as a laboratory inspector. He has also authored several publications in his areas of clinical interest and has presented on conference platforms.

He received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine, Columbus, Ohio and completed his residency in pathology at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center.
